Words of Freedom

Alone in my room I would sit, Not caring for the least bit, Of what was happening in the World around me, Not knowing who I would come to be. I was alone, when a thought occurred to me, Why not try and set myself free? Away from this deep place I have isolated myself Thinking why not just be myself. That is when I first took out the pen And I started to feel like one of the three Wise Men. Instead of a star, I was guided by a pen Discovering who I had once been. Thoughts zoomed out through this pen I held, Onto this paper that dwelled Right next to me. This is how poetry came to me, Something I could finally do To set me free.
