Words I Never Understood Myself, But Glad I Finally Do- A Wakeup Call- A Letter To Myself

Your biggest mistake was falling

falling so deeply, being caught by the deep abyss,

where all your feelings resided...

This mistake was your wakeup call

You just let yourself fall, and fall

Now you are putting on a fake smile

It's almost starting to feel like a lifestyle

You let someone make me feel like you had so much purpose

and then suddenly so worthless,

soon then things changed...

You suddenly did not know why you let someone get to me

You thought you had done something wrong

But maybe this was a blessing

that you and him don't belong

It's not God crushing your dreams,

He's just saving you from a nightmare to come

You no longer feel so numb.

Let this be a reminder,

A reminder that you have done so much

and if you ever for one minute start to think

"I have done nothing, I am worthless"

Remember that you are living today,

you are here

and sometimes that is more than enough
