Words of Love

Did I do what I'm suppose to?

Am I making you proud?

Have I let you down?

I wish I could hear you say it aloud.

Remember when you told me

if someone was going to do good

it was always going to be me

and you were so sure I would?

My faith is pretty shaken

like I know yours was in the end

but I want you to send someone

down to talk to me as a friend.

Let them tell me I am strong,

let them tell me I am loved,

let them tell me you are always

watching me from above.

Please ask your messenger

to send me your loving song

to remind me that, even in my darkest time,

I will always be strong.
