words in my head

there are words swimming around in my head

sometimes they make sense

sometimes they dont

sometimes it feels like the words

are trying to get out

they bang on my skull

trying to find their way out

there are words trapped inside my head

little verbal prisoners

looking for a way out

and sometimes writing them down

gives me a little peace

the words flow from my brain

to the pen

to the paper

and liked caged birds

my words flow freely

onto the paper

somehow making perfect sense

the words make their way out

the words swimming around in my head
