Words never spoken

My vision blurs small waves of water building in my eyes the tight knot rises in throat I swallow it down like the words I've never spoken scared of what the world would do with them it rises again I feel like I'm choking the words clawing from the inside out filled with emotions I bottle it up all the way down inside of me it over flows I feel the the drop rolling down my cheek the cold wet salty tear tracing down my face it falls shattering and staining on what it lands on like the memories it destroyed the if's and hopes of what could have been I wipe my eyes leaving no trace of the cold wet drop the one that used to trace my face and move on
