Words of Power

Flowing like a river, smooth as song Yet powerful as the weapons of war Like the atomb bomb. Words destroy and pierce like the tip of a sword but fewer things bring greater hope or healing, Than the perfect helping word. Rhythm and rhyme, essay and song, All forms of writing reflect our hearts Written to last forever long. They who write wield power untold But few are the ones who step out And release their hearts to the world, so bold.
