The words that saved me

I wrote to you when was lost

I wrote to you when I was weak

I wrote to you when I was pain

Because in the end everyone leaves

Hurt

By the things they said

By the scars he left

By wounds I had

Silence

As the room echoes

As the people start to leave

As the shadows start to lose focus

Power

The words on the page gave me

As those words saved me from myself

As the weakness, I was feeling toke me whole

The words on the page filled  me with strength

I needed you and you never left

I feel the words more than I ever have

Because

I wrote to you when I was weak

I wrote to you when I was strong

I wrote to you when I was in pain

And the words helped to move on
