Words Unsaid
1,000 thoughts, dreams, ideas, stories race inside my head,
My mind’s alight with opportunity, new beginnings, plans, starting my day
With a noisy mind of many thoughts to be said,
The morning, I start off brave, facing crowds and unknown faces up ahead,
But the closer I get the farther they seem, the more I choke on my words, the less I can convey
The 1,000 thoughts, ideas, worries racing through my head,
Approaching noon, the world goes on, life, while I’m lost in thought instead,
Early afternoon, between conversations with myself, I become aware of a world I can’t touch, only watch from far away,
From my noisy mind of many thoughts waiting to be said,
They live their lives, all a game, to find the easy path, complain with every step they tread,
I want to scream, “don’t you see what you have all along, a chance, and you throw it away!” oh, what I can’t say-
1,000 thoughts, rants, speeches, racing through my head,
Evening, I realize I’ve walked the same steps again, stuck in the same places, same mistakes I dread,
Not enough work done again, nothing ever changes, every morning, hit replay
To the same noisy mind, same many thoughts begging to be said,
Around me life goes on, I'm still trying to get a grip on mine, in the real world, and out of my mind. Now it’s dead
of night, nothing to do but think, reflect, hate, promise for tomorrow, to start the cycle over in this game I play
Of 1,000 thoughts, empty promises, unfulfilled plans and dreams, on repeat inside my head,
My noisy mind. Many thoughts. Words unsaid.
