Words in the Wind

Hey there

It's been forever

Since I even tried

Talking to you, right?

Just makes me want to cry

When I realize

How much I've really missed

Because of my silence

Why'd I just shut myself up

And throw my words to the wind?

You're far too kind

To deserve these sad lines

Once our flower stopped growing

I guess you never took care of it

After all, you've got a whole garden

While I'm no green thumb

Though I suppose we both know why

I'm still afraid to let the sun shine.
