Words From Within

What does poetry mean to me?

It means being able to express my self freely.

I am a poet

Because I wrote it.

It wasn't a choice.

It was just my inner voice.

Let the words flow free from within.

This is how my journey started to begin.

From being lost and confused of my true meaning.

Not knowing that I too am a successful human being.

Procrastinating was a virtue.

I needed something to do.

Something to let the words flow free from within.

I picked up my paper

I picked up my pen.

No need to procrastinate and hesitate.

I found my true calling.

A relative connection where I was no longer falling.

Overwhelmed with joy and excitement.

I finally found something that left me enlightened.

I couldn't stop.

I wrote until my words filled the bottom and the top.

Who knew that I could finally discover me?

Hidden deep in the forest, entangled in THAT tree.

Finally I can breathe,

1..2..3.. amazingly with ease.
