A Work of Fiction

When did clowns become so corrupted

People stand by as a child is abducted

There’s such a thing as kiddie porn

Innocence wrecked since the day you were born

Prosecution over sexual orientation

Harassment files over slight flirtation

Get your breasts done, they’re too small

I have to say, I’ve reached a wall

Day by day, eyes drained of distaste

Class to class, salvation by haste

Last weekend’s memory slips away

Nevermind yesterday, what did I say?

Oh yes, hard to keep track

When clowns are bad and I need a new rack

Only 16 years with double the addictions

Our lives sound like a work of fiction
