Beep goes the scanner as it reads the labels.
Beep goes the register clacking its keys.
An excess of card bordering high above the hairs.
But listen, hark, to the hustle and bustle of the soles fluttering outside.
Clock in, clock out, it's time to work. Clock in, clock out. It's time.
