This world

I am

the basis for change

the strength behind the pains

grown, with just enough

to make a difference.

I've danced in the rain

listened enough

to know the difference

between pain and pleasure

in equal measure

I've fallen in love before

Just the same as any

Struggled past abandonment

and faced solitude

that death brings

I am my own enemy

facing an inner battle everyday

memory being a projector

an old film in the wreckage life has brought

understand please

that my life sings

laden with a remedy

I found deep within

wrought to be bought

hope to seize

from the conjecture

that I could be better.

I learned

"love one another"
