The World
Tell me when was the
day that we became
so numb to the feeling
Of people dying
in the streets and
kids getting picked on
for doing good
deeds
Or girls getting pregnant
at the age of 15, being
kidnapped, raped, or
being raised in
the streets
How about little boys
turning against their
own family and friends
just because someone put
a gun in their hands
Or what about 15
year old boys becoming
jailbirds before they can
even go to church
and her the gospel
word
Tell me when
did we start
turning our backs
on the ones that can
help and proctect
And started
welcoming in those
who kill, steal, and
rid us from our world
and laugh in our face
because they have
no care for anyone
Just please tell
me or try to explain
so that I can start
trying to take away
our pain.
