the world

The change we've seen in the last few years

Has been hurtful to us all,

And we're the perpetrators.

Loss of habitat, loss of lives

Loss of respect between boys and girls,

Government and wars,

Litter on shores,

Looting of stores,

Robbing the poor.

Why have we done this?

How can we stop?

It takes one person at a time.

It takes one change of attitude.

It takes one choice between right and wrong.

We can stop the extinction of animals, the murders in streets,

The gang bangs, the robbings, the littering,

The wars, the fights, the disrespect.

It takes one person to start the change,

It takes another to carry the message.

One person at a time

We can turn the change we see

Into one we want it to be.
