The World
THE WORLD
Is the world round?
Though wisdom says spherical
As an egg?
But could it be flat
as a surface
or curved,
As a man’s face
It could be straight
As an I
Or bent
From the thigh
It could be Strong
as a gale
Soft?
it could be frail
Rough or neat,
Stained?
That could be it
No,
The world is crooked
Even as the branch of a tree
It is cruel
To the core
Evil
When you look the more
A world with no rule,
No code
Free to do
Just with a little gold
