World?

Location

This world is getting crazy; the truth is a blurred line

Respect is something foreign; a concept not grasped

Where greed and envy run rampant, where everyone screams "Mine!"

Where we are drowning in sorrow with no air for which we gasped.

This world is getting darker; crime is a daily job

Murder and hate and malice are our constant friends

No one bats an eye while we kill and cheat and rob

"All you need to do is look at the world through a different lens."

The world could be getting better; there is the presence of hope

Joy and laughter and gentleness can shine over the gloom

There can be peace and love and harmony if with each other we would cope

For all these virtues and for a beautiful world, we can make room.
