In This World

Somebody walking back from Hell on their own Deserves the sweetest fruit of fame. Yet all they get is brick and stone Then the hellish tongues of flame. People wander through the dark and never make it out The ones that do are sent to school and taught to shut their mouth. When all you teach is right and wrong then expect none to doubt Why look so surprised when we try and shut you out? Beautiful people, beautiful world We all want the same. Dreams come true it’s what we do So who is there to blame? In this world some live so strong And never see the light of dawn. In this world the weak will rise And dusk will show its song.
