the world became imperfect

elementary school

falling asleep to the sound of my mom crying

as dad storms up the stairs

realizing the darkness is darker than i assumed

custody battle

mom coming home defeated

haven't seen her smile in a long time

house feels empty

no more love

nothing's the same

(the world is supposed to be innocent and pure when you're young. i think i deserved better.

but that's not how it works. at all. how can your life turn so dark so quick? i expected a gradual change.

at least that. at least some sympathy. from the universe.)
