The World Can be Toxic

To Whom it May Concern,

If the world was a place where happiness could perserve

Then why do I always hear about mass homicide, or suicide,

Or a genocide of an entire race

Every single time I turn on the T.V.?

That's because the truth is hidden

From all the lies that can be so blinding

Making the truth that much harder to find.

Let's face it, we're all blinded by our own ignorance

None of us can take an original stance

About politics or economics or even a seventeen paged comic.

Everybody wants to be cool

In a world full of brutality and fatality

Well here's a newsflash none of that matters.

Because one day, whether old or young, we're all gonna die

And that's so frightening, but it's kinda enlightening

The thought of death puts all of us on the same page

And thank God, because that puts us in a cage

Where we can all express our original thoughts

And everything else that we were taught.

It's sad to think that it takes death to bring us all together

But that's just the reality of a cruel mentality

That was shaped by a world that'll end so tragically.
