world is falling down

i am the endless smiler

i am the one laughing through the pain

as my world falls down around me,

i stand tall.

i cry and scream, panic and yell,

but i am still here

i am late nights of restless sleep

i am green tea at five thirty in the morning

i am late nights with my mother, driving around

i am reading when i'm meant to do homework

i am poor french, spoken in hushed tones

i am laughs as we talk about nothing and everything

i am oranges, and pine, apples and desert rain

i am a coalition of all that has made me

the good, the bad, the everything in between

i am the world at my feet,

i am the sea at my toes,

i am the sky at my nose.

i am everything, and nothing, all at once.
