The World Flies Past Me

Flying among the stars

On a sliver stretch of moonlight

The words go past me

Flying of the page

Leaping is my horse

Bounding through the waves

The words go past me

Leaping off the page

Soaring through the ground

Fur and warmth surround me

The words go past me

Soaring off the page

Poetry can transport you

To places you’ve never been

When you’re writing

Anything is possible
