The World Keeps Moving
The world keeps moving,
But all I see is a blur of black and grey,
I see smiles,
That quickly fade away,
Into the shadows they hide,
To never find me again.
The world keeps moving,
And I’m stuck in the dark,
Binded by my own self pity,
I wait for a blazing spark,
That will awake me,
And give me hope.
The world keeps moving,
And yes the Lord is good,
I know this to be true,
Yet I feel nothing but sadness,
A numbness surrounds my heart,
As dancing shadows laugh and fade into blackness.
The world keeps moving,
Fear and worry stalking me,
I almost welcome them,
But the Lord’s strength is key,
I see the light in the midst of darkness,
But how do I enter in?
