The World, My World

The morning breeze as the sun rises The leafs swirling in the wind The birds humming their morning song The smell of bacon throughout the house The sweet and fluffy pancakes The cold nose against my leg, from the one who wants their belly rubbed The kisses on the forehead before school The random messages just to say “I love you” The time we spend together Even the sad moments Even the frustrating times Even the lowest lows We take this all for granted We forget what it’s truly worth We doubt out happiness In the end the small things are what count In the end they make us smile In the end we’ll remember the tummy aching laughs Take the bitter with the sweet Take the laughs with the tears Take the cold with the hot All of that fills the heart All of that calms the soul All of that keeps us human; alive Our endless conversations Our endless love And last but certainly not least God is: AWESOME!
