A World of Peace

Place me in a world of peace

and I will know bliss.

Throw a grenade of love into the city

and they, too, will know this.

Take out your tazer

and shock me with kindness.

Raise me out of the burning pits of hatred;

Raise me out of this blindness.

Shoot me with your embrace

and bury me beneath words of understanding.

Get rid of your violence;

That is what I'm demanding.

It's hard to believe that

some find peace to be strange.

But it's time to eliminate barbarity;

It's time for a change.
