The World Stage

When you say my name, It doesn't sound quite right It is as if you're speaking to Someone I have yet to meet In a foreign tongue, on a dazzling starless night I can hear the wind to my ears it is mystically complete Because we all see things that are not there If one provides no use, then you provide no care Nobody takes a gander behind the curtain, behind the stark and fallible curtain To see that differences are obsolete Sex is not, race is not, just a pretty face is not We're all the same, just manipulated Through the eyes of the being who feels obligated To judge, and resent, because others say so When at the end of the day, love is all we know All else is simply another form And when altered enough, almost unrecognizably lovelorn Behind my curtain, I know that we are one Composed of sky and ground, feeding on the Sun No better, not worse, superior to none We cannot have secrets, for we know all we know as one The stark and fallible divide Must be finally pushed aside Let's burn them down with our flames and anguish, So that there will be nowhere left to hide.
