The World is Upside Down
The world is upside down
Side to side
Left to right
Diagonal
What’s bad is good and what’s good is bad
Children being exposed to the evils of the world--
Far too soon
Parents putting their careers first to support their families--
Whom they put last
Strangers raising stranger’s babies
And men approaching younger ladies
Family? Who are they?
But I can tell you everything there is to know about my friends
Her? Oh, I hate her
But she is my best friend
Ask her to be my girlfriend?
Sure, I’ll send her a text later.
I have five hundred friends—
Whom I’ve never met.
We need to make the world right side up again.
Stop being caught up in sin.
Find the straight arrow path.
Learn the difference between good and bad.
Teach the children what the world has to offer
Let them learn reality on their own
Leave work at work and allow yourself to come home.
Get to know your wife again
Meet your daughter for the first time
Know that your wife hates spiders and your daughter is afraid of the dark
Find women your own age or older
You could learn something
Ask her out
With roses or a note
Take your five closest friends on a road trip
The world may be upside down,
But we are backwards
Let’s hit refresh
And start anew
