A World Without You
I hear a funny joke
I turn to share it
There’s only normal folk
Alone I sit
I had a bad day
I reach to text
To see what you have to say
There’s nothing next
A stranger’s eyes
Look just like yours
I guess that’s lies
They have different cores
I look at the moon every night
And hope you see the same light
Colors once so vibrant
Turn a lifeless grey
You turned silent
If only you’d stay
I see your relative
And we quickly leave
Neither are talkative
Because they know I grieve
Comfort you once brought
Left with you
Friendship I sought
Well, that left too
All I have is sorrow
To look forward to tomorrow
So while this poem may be sad
You’re still my friend
And for that I’m glad
You, I will defend
Because believe it or not
A world without you
Is not worth a thought
Understand, it’s true
So consider this poem a gift
To bring you happiness
Your heart a lift
A world with brightness
Something wrong with this poem?
