A World of Wonder

A World of Wonder

Amanda Leonard

The humming from the fan gets louder as

Rays of light blind me when I wake in the morning.

I am forced to roll the other way.

Soul piercing eyes stare back at me and

I see a world of wonder in the depths of your heart.

You brush my hair away from my face and

Take my head in your hands to kiss me.

My body craves your touch

Long after you make love to me.

Suddenly years of worry and stress begin to fade.

It is in this moment I realize

All that matters is us.

All I need is you.
