Worlds Away

I know the times are tough now

The waves are crashing through

I am a world away,

How do I help you?

The words I try to say

I'm not sure if they help

Is that a smile on your face

Or a cry for help?

Please tell me if it's working

If what I say is true

All I want to be

Is standing next to you.

If you were sad

I'd wipe your tears

Oh trust me, I would try

To wrap my arms around your soul

No longer you would cry.
