Worlds Collide

someone dropped the snow globe

my world's shattered and nothing holds water

not just a little shake up

the snowman's heart is a hole like someone shot him

how big was the earthquake

no that don't matter

maybe a giant just took a step

I took a step more than I could handle

maybe I was pushed and fell

that would be a scandal

Can't fit into the shoes I could never fill

A snowy microcosm melting in hell

I pick up the pieces of the globe

look out the window see last night it snowed

a shard of glass pierces my heel

I slip back into the shoes I never filled

take a step back and think of seconds before

lost in thoughts of my distress

had knocked my world upon the floor
