Poetry opens up worlds to me

I can be any person I want to be

On a trip around the world I go

Anytime I can make it so

Every poem is its own story

Tales of fame and of glory

Tales don't always need to rhyme

But they will pull you in every time

Reading poems can sooth the soul

Writing some could be your goal

Yesterday's gone, tomorrow will be
