Worry

Worry is a strange word

people see worry in different ways

ways no one can see

To me worry is a feeling

a feeling I get when I feel lost

incomplete.

Scared is just like worry

Im scared that if I’m not

not what society want

then no one wants me

I get scared that if I'm not tiny enough

enough for someone to pick me up like nothing

people will leave me high and dry

if I don’t have a thigh gap I wont get a second glance

no cares

Society shouldn't have a say

but it does

thats what us girls get told

you have to be like this

Well what if I don’t no one will care

is that how we want to live our lives

controlled by this thing

but then I remember

to be what people want you have to listen

for those bullies to stop you need to change

people say bullies just lies

say things to drag you down to there level

no its not

what they say is the truth

you can live your life saying its all a lie but look in a mirror

its what they told me

they told me I’m fat

ugly

worthless

a waste of space

no one will ever love me

lesbian

anorexic

slut

stupid

freak

weird

get hit by a bus

annoying

look at me now

I’m not any of those

as many times as I wanted to give up

let them win

I remembered I'm strong

I’m going to get better

this will stop

but what wont stop is my

worry.
