Worry Not
It was all so beautiful once.
We were a people.
All together.
We were all so happy.
We danced from sun up to sun down
and when we grew tired we slept.
Letting our dreams carry us off into the sun.
I'd wake up and cry that the dream was over,
but you told me, "Worry not."
Things have changed now.
Then again time was never one to be still.
We are all so sad and so far apart now.
Still you tell me,"Worry not."
How can you be so calm, full of such hope
when all that we built is now in ruin?
Our garden destroyed, the flowers dead.
You tell me,"Worry not for we can rebuild.
It will grow again. It won't be as it once was, but that's how it is.
Things change. We must change with it.
You do not fight the waves when they take you out into the sea.
You flow with them
and in time you'll be brought back to the shore.
So worry not, there is nothing to worry for.
