Worth

Because I love you

My wants come after yours.

I sit and wait

while you move forward.

Waiting to see the light,

Waiting for that tunnel to get bright.

Soon I’ll rise above and touch the sky.

No more waiting for my turn, no more asking why.

Because I love you

I’ll love myself once more.

I’ll stand and fight

For my voice to break through.

I’ll stand up tall and yell it loud,

Because I love you

I’ll never again be cut down.
