Worth It

How much do you think I'm worth? How much would it take for you to give me up? Maybe a better lover – someone who loves in more ways than one. What about a warmer sun in a far away place like Europe. Possibly a trunk full of cash. How about someone willing to be your mutt? Maybe a few fights you didn't win or want. What will it take to stop our association, so abrupt? How much am I worth? How much am I worth until I erupt? What would you trade me for?
But don't worry if you'd trade me for free. Don't feel bad no matter my worth in dollar signs or satisfaction. Whatever it cost you, it's worth more than me. And it's worth more than what I would have traded myself for. I'd be a hypocrite if it hurt, you see?
