Worth Something

I want

To love
To show them who they are
To show them they can reach that bar

To validate their worth
And tell them they’re loved
That there’s someone who made them to rise above

To teach
To be
There for them when hate is all they see

I want to be the face they see each day
When they come through that door, and they know
They are worth something
