Worthless without Words
Location
A piece of parchment, sealed in a glass case
Only for the words that are scribed across it.
Not for paper it’s written on, or the appealing handwriting.
A pedestrian greeting card, stored meticulously away in a shoebox
Simply for the message written inside.
Not for the design of the card, or even the occasion.
A photo of a celebrity, once famous back in their day
preserved carefully in a glass frame.
Not for the actual picture, but for the message scribbled in Sharpie.
Money, certificates, letters.
Pieces of paper that are simply worthless without their ink.
The Declaration of Independence, a greeting card, and an autographed photo.
Without the words written on them, they are of no value.
All are
Worthless without words.
