Worthwhile

Psalm 139:1-2

O Lord, you examine me and know.
You know when I sit down and when I get up;
even from far away You understand my motives.

Worthwhile

Almost all is artificial

seldom one finds something pure.

Why does life seem superficial

and we are forced to endure?

Who can trust in a feeling

and is there then a cure?

Or is life just wheeling dealing

in hope to find the Truth?

Some escape into travel

and some get lost in sports,

until their lives unravel

and separation comes of sorts.

With hope and dreams it started

and life had such appeal.

Now that we are almost parted.

in time we are lost for real.

Is it worth the living

until death does us part?

May be it is just misgiving

not understanding our own heart.
