Worthy

I try to please you,

again and again,

over and over,

But I fail.

I make mistakes,

and those mistakes

are torn apart,

Inspected,

tossed away.

In your eyes

I am nothing.

My every action is

Researched.

If it’s not good enough,

Neither am I

as a person.

I showed my heart to you,

Presented it like a prize.

Something that I was proud of.

You grabbed it,

held it for a moment,

and decided that it

wasn’t worthy.
