What if you asked me,
to stay,
I would say yes.
What if you asked me,
to be yours,
I would say yes.
What if you asked me,
to trust you,
I would say yes.
What if you asked me,
to not hurt you,
I would say no.
I would hold you, and cross our pinkies, then say,
I promise, to not hurt you.
