Wouldn’t Forget

you took my hand

and we danced under the moon’s glistening light

you gripped my cheeks

and kissed me as if the tomorrow was never to exist again

you gave me a thrill

and taught me to write little words that would pass time

you gave me a pen

and told me to keep writing your name

over and over again

so I wouldn’t forget what you taught me
