Wound of separation

"This is the foot of eternity, my friend-

and here on I must go,

but remember now and in the end,

you were my dearest fellow.

For now the dusk has come at last,

a fog atop the sea,

and bottom-deep the secrets cast,

are hidden for you and me.

Moonlight sparkles like broken glass,

in this world when we have passed.

But forever our shadows echo

and obscure the moonlight shafts."
