A Wounded Soldier

"Every heart beats to a different rhythm

Some beat with fire, ready to soar.

While others beat softly, like a whisper at the door.

Though to some a soldier is only on the battle field,

In the eyes of the broken, you see the same emptiness that is sealed.

If the world could be changed, even rearranged,

Every broken dream, every tear over love, would be taken away,

as powerful as the breath being taken at a woman's first kiss, making that moment here to stay."
