Wounds Do Not Heal
Dear Love,
You asked why I cannot love anymore,
why my heart is so full of hatred,
why I cannot see anything but death
Imagine the painstake of a knife
The feeling of betrayal is simple
It feels like someone is stabbing your heart
multiple times without any mercy
It is the feeling of your heart hurting,
beating way too fast than it should
Betrayal is being told you are not good enough
It is being told that someone you love,
does not feel the same way you do
It is when someone leaves you
It is when someone cuts the deepest wound from your heart,
takes the freshest and purest love you can give,
And break it without a second thought
Betrayal is simple
It turns the most innocent, purest version of yourself
to a hated, disgusting you
And you cannot do a thing
All you can do is watch,
behind the closed bars
Because the thing is you cannot do anything
Betrayal is never planned by you
It happens when you least expect it
And all you can do is watch like a bystander
Only time can control this feeling
Or you will be forever held behind bars watching
Betrayal is our deepest enemy and all we can do
is watch it slowly torture us,
until we cannot feel anymore,
until we place ourselves and our emotions on hold permanently
For then is when betrayal will truly leave us permanently
Yours truly,
Heartbreak
