Wow,we live our lives

Wow,

we live our lives to please society,

what happened to me getting up in the morning,

and thinking about what I want to do to please myself?

Why have I allowed society to push our good friend Ana on us?

Why do I let her run what I do?

We are taught from a young age to be a pleaser.

What the people who raised us don't know,

is that we end up pleasing the people of a society who couldn't care less about us.

The people in the magazines will never know my exsistence,

but Ana will make sure I know every one of their tricks.

She knows how much I am drawn to look at the collar bones of someone 50 pounds below well.

I will always check mine to see where I rank on the totem pole.

Society raises the young people of today,

and is allowed to.

I WISH i knew how to stop the cycle that Ana puts on others minds,

I know the way she runs and tears into our memories,

Making them feel unworthy of smiles.

She knows how to cut us down,

Without reason she can put us on the ground.

In her OUR--MY happiness is found.

Should it be though?
