Wraith
Saunter down a hall
Where the walls and ceiling do not meet.
Through the far window
See the Shepherd pacing among
Still bodies,
Surrounded by no blood,
Only Handprints.
He herds the waves
And they wash the dust from
Those we saw sleeping
With their noses corked and
Their mouths closed.
I try to open my mouth but
I am already drowning.
