Wreckage of War

Shots sprung from another nation, A rampage of reckless rage Firing at their destination, The victims stuck in a cage Shells fling back from enemy shields, the soldiers ready for every attack The initial spark a fire yields Our country will always fight back Innocent lives drop in the mix Blood rains from cloudless skies This land is the river Styx No one has time for last goodbyes The globe has shattered it's cracked in two We've lost all that matters And are left with too few When the war has almost ended, and destruction lies in its wake Our lives are all but mended And we finally realize what's at stake.
