Wrestlers
I am a wrestler, yeah trying telling them that.
Walk into a room it´s 90 degree
Sweat dripping from my hands, blood running down my nose
But people don’t see that.
They call us names, especially gay
Rolling around with sweated guys, that´s what the say.
I am a wrestler the room like a bonfire
We need to know what to do
When are bones move in places that should not be moved
Muscles acting, body calling us names.
We watch them eat, while we must stay away
Inevitably, we will be on our backs
Somebody will be tougher,
Somebody will be quicker,
Somebody will be strong enough to knock us flat.
Its called looking at the lights
As if when we´re helpless.
But, again they don’t see that
They see are singlets and cover their eyes.
It is are uniform, what we must wear
No different from football pads or basketball gear.
I choose this sports for a reason
3 hours a day… practice, practice, practice, sprint, sprint, sprint.
Sometimes I cry for the greater good
Pushing my self beyond its limits
Going harder every day making me stronger I say.
I put in headphones to go away
A song know.. Lose yourself, Eminem is his name
I know the lyrics very well ¨I say His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy¨.
They call my name, it´s time to wrestler
Step on the line, shake hands and whistles blow
No one to save me, No one to blame it´s an individual thing.
Using moves that take the whole body
Muscles you don’t think you have, you never use.
6 minutes on the clock fast-paced no stop
Let’s see you try, oh wait you won´t
You still call it gay and that all you say.
But the real truth is you don’t get it
You don’t have what it takes
But that is ok
Because I am wrestlers
So leave it to me.
