Wretched

wretched is the man who pulls the ox-cart the woman who feeds the crying child the infant who has no home. wretched are the people who do battle bravely with the volatility shared by all although it is lonely battle. but far more wretched is the young child who prays she might die in her sleep and can’t help but ask forgiveness at the same time who wishes so desperately to be dead without guilt whose faith is at war with her pain, who wishes literally crying to sleep each night was the worst of her worries. wretched is she.
